Tim Draper’s Startup U is the most pukifying TV series on tech ever

I just can’t get through it. Tim’s trying to act all outrageous but just looking really silly, the “students” are so sugary in their quest to “change the world” with their utterly pedestrian ideas, and there’s this mentor who quips words of worship of Tim in every cut-away as if Tim’s the Dalai Lama.

This show represents everything that's wrong with silicon valley.

Wow. Wine much? Spend your time doing something else then. I've never seen it, never will, and am happier because of it.

Go out and play and stop bugging your sister.

Im a startup, not in California. Other than demeanor, how is this not an accurate reflection of a SV incubator? Really curious.

Most of the startups there has zero traction and would never have been accepted into a top tier accelerator like yc or 500 startups.

It doesn't say that they pay 10K for 7 weeks. Also, the investors he brings in are rich folk who pay Tim Draper to teach them how to invest. They have office space that they then rent out at DUH as well.

Look. Draper University of Heroes = DUH.

Who would want to be associated with that shit?
