What to do next?

Startup failed, blah blah blah. I’m past the crisis part where I felt like my life was over, but it’s been long enough that I feel like I should know what to do next, and I don’t.

Freelancing is fun for the short term, but not exactly the long-term career of my dreams. On the other hand, I don’t have any dreams anymore, and after a decade being completely dedicated to the startup that died (first as a hobby and then as a startup) that feels really unsettling.

If you’ve done another startup after a failed first one, how did you find something worth doing next?

Step 1: get a paying job asap.

Step 2: figure out the next move at your leisure

Find a job that can pay you just enough to travel the world. Great ideas aren't given, they happen to you.
