I have a website idea for a niche market, what to do?

I want to create a website that focuses on a niche market that I don’t think has been tapped yet. The problem is, how do I go about creating a website? I know there are website creators like wordpress, etc, but are those good sources? Or should I create a website myself from scratch? Can I still create a great website using wordpress? You guys’ opinions are greatly valued.

Start with wordpress or squarespace. You can always build a real website later.

Start with lucidchart or pen and paper and draw out the idea as best you can.

Then build the business model canvas around it with something like strategyzer.com.

Then walk 5 people through it (wizard of oz like) and get not only their feedback, but you'll learn kinks in your own design/model that only come to light when explaining it (learn by teaching concept).

Then refine it. Then get a freelance designs to create visual mock-ups for you.

You can pitch that to an investor or go and build/have-built the website. All this for less than $100.

You get what you pay for. If you build a cheap site you will get cheap results. I HIGHLY recommend getting a few quotes from web designers and go with your favorite person NOT the cheapest person. I Posted on here a couple days ago about selling my niche site. I would be happy to assist you in your journey. Good luck
