Should I Startup?

I am an IT professional with 11 years of experience but I haven’t worked on any technology other than mainframes. I have a few startup ideas but afraid of leaving job and starting up as I have to support my family with two kids. I have some 20lakh + rupees to support my startup for sometime but how do I get the courage and confidence on my idea that it will surely do business?

How many months will 20lakh cover your living expenses?

start asap (as small as possible), and validate your idea first.

Sleep less, don't quit your job, bootstrap.

It sounds like you arent really commited to one idea. Dont quit your job. Build an mvp and put it out. If it gains traction then consider going in fulltime. Quitting your job while having a family and not being truly obsessed with an idea and its potential and purpose is a recipe for disaster. There are so many roadblocks ahead and unless you are willing to go broke for one, dont do it.

No, unless you are dying to start a company.
