Raised series B, but don’t know how

The startup I work at raised a big series B+ round in the past 6-9 months, I still don’t understand how we’re valued so high – our users suck and our growth sucks.

Have you ever been in this situation?

A few. Sometimes it's the vision. Sometimes it's a hot space and VCs want a stake in it. Sometimes it's the partners. Sometimes the founders are just well connected or Uber pitchmeisters.

There are multiple reasons VCs invest beyond traction.

Just keep your CV up to date, so you can jump ship before the inevitable happens.

Can you talk a little about this? No details, of course, but I'm curious as to the composition of the series B+.

How much was from previous investors?

How much was institutional money?

Are you in a space with a unicorn?

Are the founders with big pedigrees? i.e. Google/Microsoft/Apple VPs and/or 8 digit+ exits in the past?
