When they say "You should do X" where X is something buzzwordy and usually unrelated to the current product or business plan.

Punctuality is a complete double-standard in their world. They'll let me sit for an hour and not give it a second thought. I miss a green light on Sandhill and arrive a minute late and we have to reschedule for two weeks out.

If they show up late to a meeting you should cut them off. Your time is just as valuable as theirs is. By arriving late, they're showing you disrespect. I highly doubt that they would show up late to a meeting with Mark Zuckerberg or any of the other big name founders.

I have seen many investors dismiss markets they don't know anything about. Instead of asking what the potential is they assume if they don't know the market then it isn't worth knowing about.
