Are NDA’s worthless?

For startups, basically.

For larger companies with lots of lawyers, probably not.

An agreement written on paper is nothing more than "right to sue"

We use NDAs, they have been broken a few times by developers and there was nothing we could do about it. Unless you have money or are at a stage where you can actually enforce it or do something about it if they break it. Still good to have, but trust is important.
