Handing out thank you/compensation shares to temp contributors.

4 months ago we decided to let go of a cofounder, luckily we’re in great terms. He didn’t contribute much, but our attorneys advised that we give him ~100 shares regardless and ask him to sign a paper stating that he won’t try to sue us down the road (I guess that happens a lot).

Now we have someone currently helping us out with front-end work for a few days, pro-bono (we help reduce food waste, which is a topic near and dear to his heart). I’d like to give him some shares as a token of our appreciation and am trying to gather what would be a fair amount. Any reading material or formulas that might guide us in the right direction or at least help us get a better idea of what a fair amount should be, would be most appreciated!

Your cofounder accepted 100 shares?? He must've been clueless.

As if you know how many shares there are in total.

If 100 shares is a meaningful percentage then you have set up your share allocation table wrongly. Either way the poster should've given the percentage.
