Foreign angel investors

US startup doing our angel round of funding. One of our founders has connections with some investors in Asia and who may put in 100-200K. We were wondering if the investment regulations makes it difficult to get small investment from overseas investors or if it treats all investors equally as long as they’re “accredited”?

Basically, should we even consider this option for a company doing its angel/seed round?

It really isn't a big deal. We had international investors and as long as they aren't seeking special visa treatment (which requires 500k+), it isn't bad.

legally a foreigner can invest as long as meet representations and accreditation standards. altho may need additional declarations for KYC and AML requirements.
