Changing field from Finance to the domain of Climate Change

I am currently working in the area of Fintech but I am more curious about issues like Climate Change and Deforestation. I want to work on ideas that are tackling this problem. Also I am a little exhausted after my 2 previous attempts that didn’t go that well. As I can understand to enter in the area of climate change I would need a steady cash flow to run without spending much effort and energy on non-relevant issues. Would like to know your thoughts.

If you want to do something for the environment just join an established environmental organisation. I have no doubt you can put your fintech skills to good use there.

Joining an existing organization is different from running one

Doubtful that someone is going to give you money to go learn about a new field. The way we did that was getting a job somewhere, learning the ropes, then striking it out on your own. I'd also be worried about political risk for any of these initiatives.
