I've heard of so many "hacks" as ways to get more bang for your buck on Google Adwords, but it's hard to know what does and doesn't work. For example: day-parting, or starting with high bids and then lowering over time, or working on quality score.
To leverage your existing paid campaigns, and all traffic to your site you should use retargeting both on search and display. You can also target your competitors in the space by targeting specific YouTube videos through Google Display Network.
