Should I accept a job offer even though I am already running my startup?

I have been running my startup for the last 3 years. It has generated some income, but just barely enough to cover expenses.  I still am not sure of its success, though each product seems to have huge potential in the right market. I find this is not the right market and am in the process of relocating to a market that I believe will be the right market.  This will take about a year to finalize.

At the same time, I have just been headhunted for a position as a Managing Director in a branch office of a multinational … in another country I have lived in before. This will bring in steady personal income for me, and also possibly finance some projects to improve some elements of my startup products.

What should I do? Take the offer or keep working on my startup?

I don't think you should take this offer but I think taking another offer could help. Finding something that aligns in the direction that you're heading would be a good move but this role is a bug departure with the relocation.

*big

And I say keep working on your startup. Doing both is a financially smart decision.

I say for the next 30 days do something different for your startup than you've been doing in the last 3 years. If you don't learn anything new and your startup doesn't grow or show Improvement then go get a job. Do something crazy for your startup. Shake it up! That may be what you need.

If you have to ask if you should quit then the answer is yes.

Disclose your startup in writing so you can reduce any legal entanglements that could come up. Many companies take claim to anything you work on during employment.

What about a part the job so you can still focus in your startup.
