I swear to god, competing with VC backed firms drives me nuts. None of you guys are ever going to cover your overhead, ever. But a couple of you are going to get rich shoveling bullshit, and I’m just going to be stuck running a business.

I continue to tell investors that I have $400,000 committed, when in reality I have zero. I worry what will happen if I bring someone in under these false pretenses and can’t raise the rest.

It may seem surprising that a seemingly successful product could fail, but it happens all the time. Although we arguably found product/market fit, we couldn’t quite crack the business side of things.
