It's most likely not about the money. It's about building this company you call your baby from scratch, running it like a well-oiled machine to the point where someone wants to buy it. Next person buys it and has no clue what they are doing. As the founder, you know you put your life into this baby, and no one is going to run it like crap.

I have a full-time job, but spend nearly 100% of company-time working on my startup. My startup was covered by Ad Age, which my boss receives. He was in a meeting when the article hit, so I went into his email and deleted it.

I am a sole non-technical female founder. I could be shitting rainbows and unicorns out my ass (which I do, daily) and investors still won’t touch me with a stick. I know for a fact if I were two dudes I’d be fully funded by now.

I am a woman CEO and hooked up with a guy the first night we met- he wants to join my company but I just can’t get over the way we met.

Have worked for 4 startups that all crashed and burned for unrelated reasons not having to do with me. I now consult for cash only, and I can’t imagine working as an employee again. I’m happier and richer. Am I alone?
