Most of my customers are idiots and I’d rather ignore them. But, I want that recommendation, and payment, so badly.

With that attitude you won't have to worry about ignoring your customers. They'll do it for you.

I think some people get into start ups at the hope of striking it rich.

If you don't do it for the love of your product -get out.

Comes to mind that start up that examines human waste.

If you're not into that.Get out .

Move onto something else.

My company is super successful and I struggle to find good things about almost every single one of my customers! Vent by writing down every mean and spiteful thing they do to you, call them names and be childish in your private journal, the moment you do you will forget that person and move on. I promise you will feel better and go to work with a smile!

How much advertisement money did you spend to attract such a high percentage of idiots? Did you split test your campaigns to increase conversion and weed out the smarter ones in order to reduce your dilution numbers?
