I'm resting and vesting for one more year. Sold startup and have a good salary, but what I do doesn't move the needle. It is depressing. I have side-projects and earn some money with them. Want to jump ship, but I have too much invested there.

Good for you. You admitted (to yourself, at least) that this is what you're doing.

Most people I know who have done this never admitted it to themselves.

Wait it out and use this time to brainstorm and research your next big idea.

Charity work got me through this period. You can really feel like you are making a difference and still get a challenge. You can also look at open source contributions or even. Mentoring a new startup founder. Be open with your now employer about what else you want to do and get your contract reviewed. By doing charity work i made a difference and didn't violate non compete or give them ownership. It's amazing what a feeling you can get from working in a soup kitchen or food bank on Sunday
