I have an idea that I’m passionate about but there are a million unknowns and I feel like I will be laughed out of a meeting with investors I have coming up because I know that I don’t have nearly enough business knowledge to tell if the idea sucks.

Order some books on amazon about venture capital investing, valuation, etc. Learn the language and all the abbreviations.

Search online for the pitch decks of successful startups, and use them for inspiration.

Finally, accept that you're likely to screw up even if you come prepared. Learn from the mistakes so you do better with the next set of investors.

Develop a mentality that you WILL be laughed out regardless and to use that as a learning point. The key to getting ahead in life is developing a thick skin.

Don't evaluate your idea by the sentiments of early investors; they are not in your shoes for a reason. Leaders make decisions and learn which was right after the results, others waste a lifetime trying to make the right decision.
