I really hate chasing invoices. I once had a boss that didn’t do it. He didn’t seem to care about the harm it caused his individual performers. So as much as I hate it – I’ll never stop doing it….

How does it hurt individual performers? Are you getting paid commissions?

Maybe this person means that they are contract employees who don't get paid on time?

Contract employees get paid regardless of whether the client gets paid.

I have a full-time job, but spend nearly 100% of company-time working on my startup. My startup was covered by Ad Age, which my boss receives. He was in a meeting when the article hit, so I went into his email and deleted it.

Have worked for 4 startups that all crashed and burned for unrelated reasons not having to do with me. I now consult for cash only, and I can’t imagine working as an employee again. I’m happier and richer. Am I alone?
