I just realized fresh grads at Google make something like 200k after RSUs and bonuses.I made like 70k when I graduated 7 years ago. Is this what other companies in the Bay Area pay their fresh grad programmers???

Facebook and Netflix offer better compensation than Google. Microsoft and Apple offer a bit less. But it's all pretty close. For startups salaries are all over the place. Some, like Dropbox pay very well. Others don't.

Fresh grads in hot fields (machine learning/AI/big data) can start at 500k, but they are outliers.

I have a full-time job, but spend nearly 100% of company-time working on my startup. My startup was covered by Ad Age, which my boss receives. He was in a meeting when the article hit, so I went into his email and deleted it.

I am a sole non-technical female founder. I could be shitting rainbows and unicorns out my ass (which I do, daily) and investors still won’t touch me with a stick. I know for a fact if I were two dudes I’d be fully funded by now.

I am a woman CEO and hooked up with a guy the first night we met- he wants to join my company but I just can’t get over the way we met.

Have worked for 4 startups that all crashed and burned for unrelated reasons not having to do with me. I now consult for cash only, and I can’t imagine working as an employee again. I’m happier and richer. Am I alone?
