Bootcamp grads are horrible. Anecdotal experience, but turns out you cant sit through a couple months of classes and know anything about development. Gave them a year leash of heavy hand-holding/training and nothing. Feel like I'm a sucker!

Not all boot camp grads are horrible, just the ones you picked. There are plenty of bad ones with degrees as well. I think the good ones have great projects aside from the one the school required. They may have self-taught themselves languages and used the school or boot camp to fill in the gaps and give them more credibility. Try older people they know what work looks like.
