At this point, I’m about ready to wave the white flag and hope for an acquihire. We have great tech and a great team, but we can’t seem to find product/market fit. Tired of bashing my head against the wall.

Best of luck! If you do pursue the acquihire route don't forget to come back and post an update. Acquihire is that magic unicorn for startups that everyone talks about but there's very little data on what actually happens (value, reason, outcome etc).

Are you VC/accelerator funded? Only startups in that exclusive club get acquihired due to the cozy relationships the investors have with the acquirers.

That's not true . It's a unicorn , but you can totally get hired with a buyout

Just don't expect to retire and join the vc world chattering w Marc anserseeen on Twitter

Maybe you can give us some background on how large those buyouts are for founders and employees?

The ones I know are one to three million +/- stock or cash for IP plus salaries for everyone and severance for those not needed

Don't know it as rule @ just from friends who got it

Appreciate the response! Did you know if any were self-funded startups?
