Although I knew about the importance of shipping early and often, I let my co founder drag his feet so long I ran out of money. Now I have to go get a job. Listen to those who say it: ship now, ship often, don’t wait, validate early.

Sorry to hear that. As a startup, your most valuable assets are time and money. You need to work like crazy until you have traction. The sooner you'll validate your idea, the fastest you'll get revenue.

Gosh. WHat a hard way to learn a lesson, but sometimes it's the only way. I screwed up many times too. I had to close business because I want organized enough. But, it has been an amazing journey. I am now back to doing something new, this time with a renewed understanding.

Oh and don't worry. I took a job and quit in 10 days. lol . I can't do the 9-9 slave job anymore.
